Art Spark encourages children to lead creative, healthy lives through energetic school assemblies and live art competitions!
In partnership with The Kellen Foundation and Lehigh Valley Health Network, Art Spark educates students about the importance of creativity and healthy living through engaging assemblies in elementary schools across the Lehigh Valley. Ten students from each school are chosen to compete in an Art Spark Competition event held at a public venue on a later date. Here, families gather together as their kids create pieces of art based off of the healthy living theme they’ve learned about in school.
Art Spark events are fun filled experiences for the participants and all those in attendance. Just like the assemblies, our energetic MC and Zoomba dancers get everyone up and moving while the kids create their masterpiece!
At each event, the artists are given a lunch box full of supplies and 60 minutes to create their piece of work based on a healthful theme provided. The artwork is then voted on by the audience. The two artists with the most votes will go onto the grand finale to compete against other elementary school finalists at the end of the year. Each participant receives art supplies to take home with them, and their art work is hung at the Children’s Hospital of the Lehigh Valley.
